I am never ashamed to use this processor (just remember Tom Morello, used a Digitech multi effects processor for recording and live performances that was in a similar price range). The quality of this product will not disappoint you. However there are some cons, but I feel that the low price far outweighs them. This thing is difficult to level, but you'll work it out after a few practice sessions. Boss always leaves out the power adapter (my only real gripe with Boss). I have found an issue with my unit with the Harmonist function. Sometimes it sounds really weird if I switch over to using it from another effect. I haven't really researched this problem, so I may be doing something wrong on my end. If I turn the unit off and back on, it goes back to sounding normal. If you have a larger budget, there are better products out there, but if you are a hobbyist or semi-professional who doesn't already own a ton of effects you'll probably find everything you need here. Keep rockin'! - GBAnyways, I've played long enough and used a large number of multi-effects pedals, so I can tell a good pedal from a bad one. This one works great, it's very very easy to use, has a lot of effects, many distortion options, harmony effects, wah, whammy, built-in loop station (with no quantizer: booooh!), very cool reverb, delay, compression and other effects. Has mono and stereo outputs for different uses. It's amasingly solid, pure metal, feels resistent. Low noise performance and a built-in noise gate. I'm telling you, if you're looking for a good and simple multi effects for all purposes (studio, home, playing live) this WILL DO THE JOB.

I never liked the Boss sound. never. But sometimes you just have to stand down on your personal tastes and admit when something just works incredibly well. Congrats to Boss for this piece of equipment, very high quality. The distrosion is great some people say they arent but I really love them, its a matter of taste and creating your tones, some preset may not be good for you The downside it does not have the AC adapter but I knew this. The lights under certain light conditions are very bright, But this pedal is note heavy, well constructed and sturdy, I got the AC adapter so I dont have to be on the batteries all the time. This pedal has the whole package, effects, great tone, great distorsion and cleans.I received this as a birthday present from a friend. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, so haven't had the opportunity to explore everything that it will do. But, on side by side comparisons with some of my other pedals the ME-70 performs as well or better. While it won't replace all the pedals I have on my board, it will definitely lighten it up some. I'm not saying the stuff that I have is better, it's just what I'm comfortable playing with. As for construction, it is well constructed. Also, all knobs and switches feel good in your hand (and under your foot) when making adjustments. I hate getting a piece of equipment where everything feels cheap and about to break off in my hand, or where the knobs drag on the case when turned, that's not the case with this pedal. We use this for studio recording as he writes music for television and sends demos to the composer so he knows how the finished song is supposed to sound. We aren't performing with this unit but the in-studio sound is great.I could never get the levels right. The Boss ME-70 is easy to use. It sounds great. 72 patches in all. My current band does not even play that many songs.

I like the digital display aspect of this too, changing the dials gives you an exact figure for things like tempo of delay etc.It also acts as an amp simulator, with several types modelled. This feature is useful to record with simply by plugging in directly to a sound card, and bypassing the need for amps and mics. A usb feature would be the only thing i'd personally add, in case you want to move preset banks on to the computer for storage. Also there is a loop function, but with it activated you can't use any other delays.Gracias por su comentario. Lo sentimos, no hemos podido registrar tu voto. Vuelva a intentarlo I feel like theres a ton of features in it and I'm still struggling to switch from clean to crunch and also finding it tough to find the tones I'm looking for. However, that skimming which has been sufficient for every product I've previously bought, was not sufficient for this product. So for the price I paid I'm not terribly satisfied. I guess I'll get around to a thorough read through at some point in the future maybe. Oh by the way, it doesnt come with the adapter. Had to buy that separately. It might have had the batteries included though cant remember for sure. (You can either use batteries or mains to power it).Gracias por su comentario. Boss SE-70 Owner's Manual This is essentially a patch list for the factory default SE-70 effects programs, but it contains some good information for those trying to program their own effects patches. Boss SE-70 Algorithm Guide Very few people seem to need to repair these little SE boxes. Since i already paid there's no reason you should have to pay too, so please download the SE-70 service manual (including schematics) for free and get to repairing your SE-70. If you have an SE-70 problem to fix, please leave a comment down below. There is very little info out there on fixing the SE series so i can use all the info i can get. Thanks and enjoy. Plugged it up and had the same issue. So i next bought another used SE-70 that came with no AC adapter. Tried it with both the AC adapters i had and it had the same noise issue. Finally, i bought a Boss SE-50 that came with it's original power supply (similar enough to that of the SE-70 to work in it's place). I tested out the SE-50 power supply on both my old SE-70 units and on the SE-50 and all three sound beautiful. So the end result was that i had two bum Roland AC power supplies in a row (both original, used from the 1990s), third one was the charm. Now i have three working Boss SE FX units and only one power adapter. I'm considering cracking one of the problem AC adapters open to see what went wrong, but i may just build a new AC output supply instead. Boss SE-70 Service Notes.
