3gx mrs manual

I was helping a friend set up his new Trex 450 Plus DFC to work with his Spektrum DX6i TX. We followed the 3GX MRS Manual's recommendation to set the gyro at 55. The result was that the tail barely responded to stick input and tail compensation response was almost non-existent. We double checked tail centering and the 3GX MRS configuration. No effect. My friend then tried increasing the gyro setting to 70. And it worked great. Here's why it did. Let’s consider the 3GX MRS manual’s recommendation of a gyro setting of 55 for the “Spektrum System”. Notice that the manual doesn't mention which Spektrum TX. But it matters which Spektrum TX you’re using. For example, on the DX8 that I use, heading-hold gain runs from 0 to 100 (every increase of 1 in the TX setting increases the real gain by 1). Whereas on the DX6i, 50 is zero heading-hold gain. So, heading-hold runs from 50 to 100 (every increase of 1 in the TX setting increases the real gain by 2). I believe that the manual's recommendation of 55 would be OK for the DX8. But on the DX6i, this recommendation should be translated to 77.5. As an example, the Blade 450X manual makes the following recommendation for Spektrum gyro settings--by TX: DX8: 54 DX6i: 77 Therefore, if you have a DX6i you should start with a gyro setting of around 70. I'm looking at a used 450 that has one, and I'm shying away because I heard they're not compatible. Specifically, either a Spektrum SPM9645 DSMX, or SPM9545 DSM2 (preferably the DSMX). Once you plug it into the 3GX MRS satellite port, you're good to go. Your Spectrum TX binds to the satellite RX. See the 3GX MRS manual (pp. 24-25) for the details. I went back and forth on a previous post on Trex 250 BTF with no luck after getting the DX6i to bind with my 3GX mRS on my Trex 450 Plus DFC. I put on training gear and powered up. Got massive vibrations on spin up and it seems no heading lock, it would spin out of control. They also said that the Tx needs to be in H-1 swash type (90 CCPM).Thanks for any input! You got the 450 to bind but not the 250. Massive vibration is mechanical setup off, being the blade tracking. Spinning out if control is either tail comp is backwards or your gain isn't setup. DX6i just had gyro sense right. Does the slider move when you move the tail from side to side. Little or no movement the gain isn't set right. Post link to the post about the 250. I was able to bind and get 2 green lights indicating HH mode. I tried putting a broom handle between the landing skids and throttling up past the vibrations and smooths out and the blades track well. I've adjusted the gain on the gyro up, but I have to double check if the rudder sensing is backward.http://jagtapnursery.com/jagtap-nursery/upload/3m-7800-respirator-user-manual.xml

The Align rep said without the T6 or 7 channel Spektrum Tx, I won't be able to control rudder gains. I'm away from home for the next 4 days, will work on it when I return. Thanks With FBL you get vibes. You have to check the max pitch on both blades and make sure they are exactly the same as well as at mid stick. Ran up to full throttle and not enough pitch to get airborne. Went over the Collective pitch adjustment in the 3GX mRS manual and it states it must be adjusted in radio's EPA (end point adjustment) function. I'm sure there is an equivalent function on the DX6i, but it is not addressed in any documentation and I am no expert in making a Spektrum product work in analogous manner to a Futaba. I called Align, they said DX6i is not compatible with the 3GX mRS but I also e-mailed them and they said Spektrum DSMX will work. FYI I found out the correct swash setting is H-1 or 90 degree, single servo. The 3GX mRS does the mixing internally and it comes out 120 CCPM somehow. Unfortunately I have the same probleme wih the same heli Trex 450 Plus DFC and the same radio DX6i. Like you I used a spektrum satellite DSMX for the binding. It bind fine. But the heli is not flying well. When I want to take off it spins out of control.http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/66421

I used the setting for the spektrum radio in the manual I also tried both swash type120 and 90 CCPM. But its not working. Please can you help me since you seem to have succeed. Thank you by advance I searched this forum and others the best I can but am unable to successfully bind my Align trex 450 plus with 3GX mRS and Spekturm Sat antenna to my DX6i. I believe I have followed the video correctly making the appropriate change for the 450 as the video is a 250. I get a solid red light in the Satellite and 3GX mRS but no control of any of the servos. I have seen this particular issue discussed in several places but I am unable to find the magic ingredients. This is my first 450 size after MCPX and a couple Blade 130 and therefore this is a significant change in knowledge required. I would greatly appreciate help. I went through the 3GX mRS setup following the video. Possible my DX6 is not set up correctly. I have found several different settings posted on the internet. Could someone share their complete settings ? thank you Please enter your desired user name, your REAL and WORKING email address and other required details in the form below.Note that passwords are case-sensitive. There is a trick to installing for the 7e check the docs. Install Remote Receiver Remove the bind plug from the copter. - Power cycle the controller. I hope to shortly post models and a config for a Align Trex 250DFC with 3GX v4 using Spektrum DSMX satellite receivers. Everything is working as expected on the bench so will be able to maiden soon. So you can count me as one of the people getting more serious and still wanting to use my Devo10 now that it has a proper firmware on it. About the only thing I would have loved to have that OpenTX and the Taranis hardware provides is voice prompts. Much easier to keep focus on the heli when you don't have to look down every once in a while to see what the setting are. Even tough I don't fly big toys (because they are toys after all, if you don't use them for others things than recreation) I consider myself like a serious hobbyist, and I know a lot of other people would agree. Cheers mate. Post it here! I've managed to set up a few helicopters on the Taranis now, but the latest has me beaten. I've got a TREX 250 Plus DFC with the 3gx MRS flybarless unit preinstalled. I've got a Spektrum satellite bound successfully to my Orange module. However I've tried everything and I just can't get the cyclic servos correct. Something is not right and its got me stumped. Am I right in thinking that means '90 degrees' on a Taranis. I don't seem to get any servo movement when its set to that.

I've tried so many things now, I'm loosing track of what seemed better and worse! The Swash Mix type need to be off. I think I'm nearly there now. When I have it right, I'll post more information. There are a number of confusing issues. The manual seems to have some wrong information about reversing servos in it. But more importantly its important to understand that a 3GX and a 3GX MRS are completely different. The 3GX does require 120 CCPM mixing whereas the 3GX MRS does not and requires 'OFF' to be selected for swash type in the Taranis. It's not a 3d setup, but should provide the basics. From time to time the unit seems to fail to bind with the transmitter and tilts the swash. Unplugging the helicopter and then plugging it back in seems to resolve the issue nearly all the time. To clarify this would only work for a DSM2 or DSMX link as a Futaba module would require Futaba channel order. It's not a 3d setup, but should provide the basics.
