You need the correct back plate to go with these speakers and this model does NOT come with them. You need to call Bose and have them send you the correct brackets that are compatible with these speakers. Also, you need to 'click' in the backplate to make it secure. The directions do not show that either. I finally got it together using the wrong plates, it does work but puts un-needed stress on the wiring into the speaker. I'm waiting for the correct brackets to show up, but in the meantime I have it working. I need to drill a small hole on the speaker to fit them properly. This is to use for prevent the speaker swinging sideway. Which the VIZIO speakers don’t have that hole to fit that pin. To make it work, Just drill a 3mm hole below the mounting screw hole and that’s all you need to modified to use this stand. Also use these smaller screws for mounting, they comes with the package. The pre-instead screws on the mouth is too big. This will work for VIZIO S3851, S4251 and S5251 satellite speakers, all you need is drill a small hole on the speakers.Assembly was intuitive - total of 15 minutes for both stands. I do not consider myself exceptionally mechanically inclined, either. Operationally, these do an incredible job of positioning the speakers. It seemed as though they tried to do a bad job with them. If you are mechanically inclined these stands go together pretty easily but. I don't understand why they couldn't have put a little more effort in to the instructions. I suppose it's reasonable considering free shipping and quality construction. Ultimately these are fine and I wont be changing them although I'm not all the picky and don't really like the look of a stand anyway so I probably would have done just as well with some lower cost generic stands even if the wire doesn't conceal in them as well.Make sure it is square in the hole before tightening down. It may take a little tweaking to get them square and level the way you want them, but not too hard to do. It depends on how fussy you are. The base is heavier than they look which makes it stable, but the poles are a bit more wobbly than I was expecting for having such a solid base. Once they get in place they are not going to move anyway, so that is not a big deal. I gave it 4 star because they do seem a bit pricey, but I wasn't willing to take a chance on the cheaper stands that I wasn't sure would fit my speakers anyway. The instructions showed throwing away a screw and plastic piece that I thought might be for shipping but the style of speakers I had (direct reflecting) used the bigger screws and the plastic piece. Highly recommend. The directions are pictures only and do not show how to use them with these speakers. You need the correct back plate to go with these speakers and this model does NOT come with them. You need to call Bose and have them send you the correct brackets that are compatible with these speakers. Also, you need to 'click' in the backplate to make it secure. The directions do not show that either. I finally got it together using the wrong plates, it does work but puts un-needed stress on the wiring into the speaker. I'm waiting for the correct brackets to show up, but in the meantime I have it working. Having said all that, the stands are sturdy and stylish and have a 'canal' down the back of them to hide the wire. Overall, very nice stands,just make sure you know what you need before assembly.

Took ten minutes to read instructions and assemble first stand, then second one was a piece of cake taking only five minutes. All accessories were included, not only for the VI300 speakers, but there were other accessories for different speakers too. All in all, worth the extra cost over other speaker stands, like Sanus. Even though the Bose stands are not adjustable, the 38 inch height is perfect for my room configuration. Really nice looking and modern. The best thing about the stands is the speaker wires fit into a groove on the back of the stand, there is no need to shove wires into a tube like most other stands. This helps because you can keep the speaker wire slack until the speakers are hooked up properly, then tighten the slack as needed when the wires are placed into the grooves.
